Today was a pretty fantastic day, except after school that was sort of lame.
Well I learned some new things today:
1: When you like someone your eyes subconsciously dilate. But I think I am the exception to this rule because my eyes dilate all the time! But me Katti and Allie tried it today on someone who will remain nameless, and it totally works! But note to any guys who could possibly reading this: don't be fooled by my dilating eyes.
2: Also when you like someone you subconsciously mimic their head gestures. Like if they tilt their head you will just automatically tilt your head. Quite interesting if you ask me.
3: In Afghanistan it is polite for men to kiss each other as a greeting. To us western people that sounds pretty strange, but for them it is totally normal.
--I get so fascinated by different cultures and different things they do to women, men or children. I find it so fascinating that even though we live on the same planet we can do totally different things that might be acceptable in one country and totally insulting in another. Goes to show how different everybody is in the world.
4: I sort of already knew this but eye contact can change the outcome of a conversation. For example, if you are in an argument with your mom, you should look her straight in the eyes and not loose focus, this will get her to listen to what you are saying and possibly makes you win the argument. On this topic I also learned in a country (I can't remember the name) it is disrespectful to make eye contact, it shows you think you re better than them.
So yeah, those were some of the few things I learned, but I also learned a lot more about body language I don't feel like typing. I am very happy because I think I tagged Jenny twice today (almost three but she said no tag backs right before I tried to tag her) I also got Jenna today. I am very happy. I also got my yearbook for this school year, I had to wait 2 hours to get it but I got it. Luckily I got a ticket that assured that I got a yearbook, but for some reason the lady wouldn't give one to my brother so he wasn't able to get one:/ But thats okay we are going to share it. I get the extra pages for people to sign and he gets the covers. Its a good plan to me.
Now I am home, blogging with my orange soda and my yearbook next to me. I wish someone would get on skype so I could video chat with them.
I can't wait for:
May 12, 2010: I am getting my hair-cut
May 13, 2010: McKenzie's real birthday.
May 14-15, 2010: YW over-nighter.
